This policy explains how the Vyyz app and this website handle your information.
Vyyz is built to respect your privacy.
Information the Vyyz app handles:
Water Intake Data. When you log a water intake, Vyyz stores the amount, the time you logged it, and the device class you used (iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch). This data is stored only on your device and in your private iCloud account.
Your Preferences. Vyyz remembers your settings: your daily hydration goal, your favorite amounts used for quick logging, your notification preferences and schedule, your preferred measurement units (metric or US imperial), and your preferred city for weather-related notifications. These preferences sync across your devices through your private iCloud account.
Daily Goal Calculator Data (Optional). If you choose to add data to the goal calculator in order to receive a personalized recommendation, Vyyz stores the information: age, gender, weight, pregnancy or nursing status, activity level, dietary habits, and health conditions that affect hydration needs (if you choose to disclose them). Using this calculator is completely optional — you can set your goal manually instead. All calculator data stays in your private iCloud like your other preferences, and can be updated or cleared at any time.
Health Data (Optional). If you enable Apple Health integration, Vyyz can (with your explicit permission) write water intake data to Apple Health, and read water intake data from Apple Health, created there manually or by other apps. This data exchange happens entirely on–device.
Health data is never used for advertising; never extracted and transmitted from your device; never shared with third parties; and never used for any purpose other than tracking your hydration on your devices.
Preferred Location. Vyyz uses your time zone for approximation. If you wish to receive more relevant and accurate weather-based notifications, you can select a city from a pre-loaded list. This preference syncs across your devices through your private iCloud. Vyyz uses this selection only to check weather conditions via Apple’s Weather service. Vyyz does not access your actual location.
Deleted Data. When you delete a water intake entry from Vyyz, it’s removed from your device, and its deletion synchronizes across your other devices. If you have Apple Health integration enabled, it’s also removed from Apple Health. These synchronized removals may take a few moments to propagate across all your devices.
Payment and subscription information. Vyyz does not store credit card information, neither fully, nor partially or in tokenized form. Any payment you make, and all associated information (your name, email, and billing address) is handled entirely by Apple.
Vyyz doesn’t collect characteristics of protected classifications including religion (or lack thereof), race, ethnicity, gender expression, or sexual orientation. If you choose to reveal these voluntarily (eg. if you include it in a support request), it will be treated confidentially and never shared with third parties.
You have complete control over your data stored in Vyyz app: you can initiate an export anytime in Apple Health, delete any or all data directly in the app, disable iCloud sync in your device settings, or uninstall the app to delete locally stored data.

The Vyyz app doesn’t communicate with this website. It doesn’t “phone home,” it doesn’t “check in”. Your data stays on your devices and in your private iCloud account.
The web server hosting the Vyyz website logs visits automatically with full IP address and basic browser information: a referrer (the web address of the previous page you visited), language preference, and your web browser’s name and version number. These logs do not contain information that could identify you personally. Log files are never sold. Web server log files are rotated (deleted) over time.
This website doesn’t use session cookies, persistent cookies or other techniques (eg. browser local storage) to store information on your computer at all; and it doesn’t use third party services like web analytics software or common “social sharing” buttons that might place long-term, third party cookies that could track you across websites without your knowledge or consent.
This web property is operated in the European Union. If you are located elsewhere, please be aware that any information you share will be transferred to the European Union. Your private information is protected under the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”).
The Vyyz website is hosted at the Deutschherrnkarree in Nuremberg, Germany.
Encrypted backups are stored at Amazon’s data center in Frankfurt, Germany.
When you write an email with a question or to ask for help, that correspondence (including your email address, name or any other personally identifying information you share) will be stored and handled in order to communicate with you.
